EAFRD Call For Proposals: Deadline 1st January, 1970

Rural Development Progamme: Business Development, Food Processing, Tourism Infrastructure

Three funding calls have been announced by the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) that will support business development in rural communities.  Funding is available across three themes:

  • Food Processing –  Grants between £20,000 – max £750,000 for SME  food and drink businesses that process agricultural and horticultural products, to help with job creation and economic growth of rural areas.


  • Business Development–  Grants between £20,000 – max £175,000 for small or micro businesses to help with job creation and growing the economy of rural areas.


  • Rural Tourism Infrastructure– Grants between £20,000 – max £175,000 for small or micro businesses with a project that would encourage more tourists to come and stay in rural areas.

The grants are funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), which is aligned to the wider European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF).

The calls are open to food and drink processors, farmers, rural businesses (including social and community enterprises) and rural tourism providers.  All projects must be located in the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly area.
