Overview

Building on previous investments which deployed superfast broadband across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, the Growth Programme is extending digital infrastructure and investing in digital skills for growth.

Investments are also being made in transport infrastructure.  Improvements to the A30 will alleviate congestion, increasing productivity through shorter journey times and supporting sustained business growth. Improved signalling on the main railway line between Penzance and London will allow more frequent  services from Cornwall to London and reduce travel time to the capital.

These targeted investments will be complemented by projects that foster environmentally-friendly, low-carbon transport and a shift to more sustainable modes of transport.
