An online resource to help Cornish businesses benefit from digital technology has been launched by Superfast Business Cornwall.

The Knowledge Bank is packed with impartial information and advice to help Cornwall and Isles of Scilly based businesses exploit digital technology to develop and grow.

It includes handy guides, checklists, top tips and videos on everything from digital marketing to app development. All businesses have to do is register via the Superfast Business Cornwall website – click here to register

Superfast Business Cornwall is a fully-funded service by the European Regional Development Fund to help businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly understand, adopt and exploit digital technology for growth.

Mike Robertson, Superfast Business Cornwall team leader and Digital Business Enabler, said: “The Knowledge Bank is a rich resource for anyone looking to harness and exploit the power of digital technology to grow their business. Our in-depth guides, videos and articles are very user-friendly and we want the Knowledge Bank to be the go-to place for local businesses to find out how they can benefit from digital technology.”

Written in plain English, Knowledge Bank topics include: developing a digital strategy, selecting a CRM system, the online office, app development, big data, artificial intelligence, integrating systems and creating a successful website.

Superfast Business Cornwall offers a tailored programme of high quality information, advice and digital development, coupled with grants to enable new digital projects which develop a new service/ product, give access to new markets AND create jobs in the region.

 

Future Events

The service also organises a number of events throughout the year and is planning a one-day conference at Goonhilly Earth Station on Thursday 19th October called Connect to the Future.

The conference will explore the use of digital technologies to boost business communication and growth. There will be workshops, keynote speakers, networking opportunities and a digital surgery with Superfast Business Cornwall Digital Business Advisers, as well as a tour of Goonhilly.

Superfast Business Cornwall it is fully funded by the European Regional Development Fund, so there is no charge for eligible businesses, start-ups and social enterprises to participate. The project runs until March 2019.

About Superfast Business Cornwall

Superfast Business Cornwall (SFBC) is a new service for small to medium size enterprises (SMEs) across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly that aims to boost business competitiveness through increased understanding and exploitation of digital technology. The service offers SMEs, start-ups and social enterprises a tailored programme of high quality information, advice and digital development.  Match funding is available to enable or accelerate digital transformational projects.

The service is for eligible SMEs based in Cornwall and will run to March 2019. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the service will be delivered by Serco Employment, Skills and Enterprise, national market leaders in the provision of Superfast Broadband focused business support and will be closely aligned to the activities of Superfast Cornwall.
