Projects
The Employer Led Skills (ELS) project offers practical, flexible, and effective accredited, non-accredited and bespoke training to up-skill and re-skill over 3,000 individuals across the county. The consortium, led by Cornwall Marine Network and supported by eight delivery partners, supports employers to address identified skills gaps across a range of sectors. Ultimately Businesses will benefit from increased workforce capability which will drive productivity improvements and economic growth.
Through the partnership, the ELS project will address local strategic economic priorities and skills needs in identified priority sectors for Cornwall & Isles of Scilly, with alignment with the Local Enterprise’s 10 Opportunities: agri-food, construction, digital, health and social care, hospitality, manufacturing, marine and retail. This cross-sector approach will facilitate re-training/reskilling programmes to equip individuals with transferring skills to enable them to move into growing and newer knowledge intensive sectors.
The ELS project has been designed to build on the activities being delivered through the ESF funded Developing Skills for Business project, led by The Cornwall College Group (TCCG), which closed in April 2020.
