Cornwall Council has put together a Covid-19 community toolkit to support volunteers helping people across Cornwall. The pack has a list of key contacts and other useful info to help people to support each other with things like shopping and befriending. Find out more>
Support for businesses
The Growth Hub is helping businesses navigate the support and guidance available on COVID-19. Their website and team on the phone offer up to date signposting of all the latest initiatives and provisions intended to help businesses though these unprecedented times. Support for individuals and employees
The People Hub is a new service that provides information and guidance to individuals facing employment issues or wanting to develop new skills during the COVID-19 and where to find further help.
Residents can call the People Hub phoneline on 0333 0150699. It will be available between 10am–5pm, Monday–Friday, with an out-of-hours messaging service outside of those times.
People Hub provides information and guidance about:
- Employment and skills support programmes
- Temporary staffing agency workers
- Those under threat of redundancy or made redundant
- Self-employed
- Zero hours contract workers
- Being furloughed
- Retraining or developing new skills
- Sick Pay and Processes
